About the Role

The Head of Manufacturing at Rogerstone Meal Solutions is a pivotal leadership role, overseeing operations across multiple departments to drive efficiency, maintain operational stability, and champion safety. This individual will lead a large team, handle responsibilities from safety compliance to managing production variances, and serve as the face of operations internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full ownership of operations, including HSE and Food Safety, stock accuracy, complaints management, and engineering functions.
  • Drive preventative maintenance and operational engineering projects to improve equipment performance
  • Engage and motivate a multi-functional team across shifts, empowering teams to drive for and improve performance, through appropriate measures and KPIs,
  • Provide direction and support to direct Management team to support and deliver site objectives and targets
  • Raise factory operating standards

About You

The ideal candidate will have proven operational leadership experience in FMCG, especially in short-life chilled ready meals. You should excel in people management, problem-solving, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, with a track record of delivering results in large-scale operations.

Key Requirements

  • Experience in FMCG chilled goods manufacturing, with operational leadership and strategic development with customers.
  • Proven track record in large complex factory with high volume, high sales turnover and large headcount.
  • Strong people engagement skills, with a focus on motivating and leading teams through complex challenges.
  • Agility and quick problem-solving skills in dynamic, high-pressure environments
  • Previous experience in a similar role e.g. General Manager, Senior Operations Manager, Site Director, with readiness for a larger operational scope
