Our client BAE Systems, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a proficient General Engineer with experience in warship aviation services. This contract role, situated in Scotstoun, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Naval Ships business unit. Key Responsibilities: Produce layout drawings in 2D CAD of aviation compartments for stakeholder review and detailed design integration. Support design reviews and zonal reviews, providing maturity evidence. Update technical equipment specifications for aviation systems and coordinate with suppliers to meet agreed specifications. Maintain and update Windchill PLM with part, system, occurrence, and compartment data to ensure accurate design presentation. Coordinate with systems engineers and detail designers both internally and with external partners on the integration of aviation systems. Job Requirements: Experienced BAE-Outfit engineer, particularly in naval and/or commercial ship outfit systems. Proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD or FORAN. Strong understanding of system and spatial integration issues. Ability to produce technical reports and documentation. Knowledge and experience in compartment design and aviation systems within a warship context.
