Project Directors at Turner & Townsend:
Project Directors at Turner & Townsend work on business initiatives and lead delivery, at all lifecycle stages, on a broad range of projects and programmes across public and private sectors including Aviation, Highways, Rail, Environment, Utilities, and more. We are looking for individuals with the following skills, experience, and behavioural attributes:
- Significant experience managing multiple disciplines / teams / advisors / clients on high value / complex / politically challenging infrastructure projects/programmes across the lifecycle, ideally across sectors and clients.
- Exceptional leadership skills, capable of setting high standards and managing performance against these, utilising people and resources efficiently to meet and exceed stakeholder expectations.
- Leads, sets commission strategies, and is accountable for the health, safety, and wellbeing of those within your sphere of responsibility.
- Shape the future vision and direction of the business and commissions, driving innovation and sustainability in parallel.
- You continuously improve and transform our offering, pushing your comfort zone and encouraging your leaders to do the same.
- Promoter of inclusive teamwork, building and fostering trust with empathy.
- Foster client and industry partnerships, developing and growing relationships to transform performance together.

Beneficial Experience:
- Experience of complex and multiple forms of procurement and managing NEC / other form contracts.
- Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors on infrastructure projects and programmes in differing environments.
- Experience of highly regulated environments.
- Experience of consultancy and/or client-side project management.
- Familiarity with public sector organisations, non-departmental or armβs length bodies relevant to infrastructure.
- Degree level qualification in a management, construction or infrastructure related subject, or equivalent experience.
- Professional affiliation with the APM, ICE, or an equivalent professional institution.
- Project management certification (e.g. APM / PRINCE2 / MSP / MoP / ChPP).
