Mayfield Recruitment are currently looking for a Maths Teacher in the Redditch area on a permanent basis. The position will be working with KS3 – KS5 and the candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience working with ASC.

Job description for the Maths Teacher

  • The Maths Teacher will be enabling each student to independently contribute to society, embrace lifelong learning and achieve without a ceiling.
  • You will be working with a range of candidates with varying levels of qualification and must have experience in working with KS3 – KS5
  • The successful candidate will be working with students with Maths related anxiety but with a gift for the subject to then achieve top grades at A Level
  • The Maths Teacher must be able to build trusting relationships and provide security to vulnerable learners

Essential experience for the Maths Teacher :

  • An understanding of a variety of behaviour management techniques, with a focus on resolution management followed by developmental reflection.
  • Experience and passion for working outside of the conventional classroom and embracing outdoor learning,

Essential Skills for the Maths Teacher:

  • Behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
  • Empathy and sensitivity to the needs of learners with an ASC

Qualifications for the Maths Teacher
