Our client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Technician to be based at their site in Blyth on a full time, permanent basis.
Your expertise in interpreting technical drawings and following assembly procedures will ensure that the equipment is built to the highest quality standards, adhering to safety guidelines and manufacturer specifications.

The Role of the Mechanical Technician
The Mechanical Technician will be responsible for assembling, pre-commissioning, and testing mechanical equipment for various projects.
Other responsibilities include:

Follow specified instructions and processes, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.

Assemble mechanical equipment as per engineering drawings.

Review progress and highlight areas of concern to supervision.

Support commissioning and fault-finding activities as required.

Demonstrate flexibility, including working shifts and overtime as required.

About You – Mechanical Technician
The ideal candidate will be time-served in a relevant trade and possess the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Experience in a heavy engineering environment is preferred.
