The predicted salary is between 39000 - 91000 £ per year.

You will manage the commercial resources (people and finance) of the assigned project to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts.

To assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks and implement our clients policies for risk management.

To support the authorisation and submission of project variations.

To authorise the placement of contracts, subcontracts, material and plant orders.

To maximise cash flow through the control, measurement (including quality) and valuation of work, and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers.
The responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor

Manage packages from the earliest procurement stage and manage through to final account

Conduct Monthly CVR’s
-
Appoint contractors and subcontractors and to place orders for materials and plant within delegated authorities

Management of project risks and opportunities.

To measure and value work to support the invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers within delegated authorities

BSc or HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying preferred or other equivalent commercially related subject

Preferably qualified to CIOB or RICS accreditation

Relevant CSCS Card

Ability to work on site where necessary

Awareness and experience of construction methods, technology, standard forms of measurement and forms of contract, and health and safety requirements
