Excellent TIG/FCAW Pipe Welder opportunities based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire.

We\’ve got exciting opportunities for experienced Welders to join a dynamic project with excellent day and night rates, a 4-day working week and digs allowance to support those travelling in.

  • Long term contract working a 4-Day Week (enjoy a 3-day weekend!)
  • PAYE contract will all the benefits! Rates: 26 Days / 31 Nights
  • Overtime paid at time + half on Fridays and Saturdays. Double time on Sundays.
  • Tax free weekly digs allowance paid for travellers
  • Holiday pay including bank holidays
  • Pension

Day Shift : 06:30 – 18:00 (Monday to Thursday) / Night Shift : 19:10 – 06:40 (Monday to Thursday)

The Role:
We\’re looking for highly skilled Pipe Welders with strong offshore or heavy industrial experience. You\’ll be undertaking high-precision welding in 45 degree positions on carbon and alloy steels, working to tight specs and delivering top-tier results every time.
Duties include:

  • Welding Pipework using TIG root and FCAW fill and cap.
  • Reading and working from WPS and engineering drawings
  • Completing fillet and full-pen butt welds to weld spec
  • Using grinders, gougers, and other hand tools for a high-quality finish

What You\’ll Need:

  • Proven experience in offshore, oil & gas, or marine welding
  • Current or past weld certification in 6G positional pipe welding (TIG and FCAW) is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Comfortable working to ISO 9606 or similar

Weld Tests & Interviews are taking place from week commencing 14th July 2025.

Weld test consists of:

1. C/S Butt HLO45 168mm OD*16mm – TIG root / FCAW fill & cap.
2. C/S Branch PH 168mm OD*12.5mm & 114mm OD*10mm – TIG root / FCAW fill & cap.
3. C/S Multirun Fillet PH – FCAW
