Robertson Recruitment are on the search for ayard operativefor our client based in Belper. They are keen to offer training and a long term opportunity for the right person! Temp to perm opportunity!

Yard Operative- Duties:

• Manage and Operate machinery- specifically Sawmilling equipment
• General housekeeping duties.
• Working as part of a small team
• Selection of timber to match specifications on cutting lists
• Quality checking completed work.
• Ensure that health and safety standard are adhered to at all times.
• Ability to comprehend metric/imperial measurements.

Yard operative- Skills:

• Must be able to commute due to the company location – parking on site.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent dexterity skills.
• Ability to work with/communicate with others.
• Physically fit due to the nature of the work – heavy lifting is required at points through the working day
• Experience working with timber related machinery an advantage – (full training to be given)
• Any exposure to working with timber is beneficial.

Yard Operative-Hours of Work:

Monday – Thursday (07:30 17:00)

Friday – (16:00)

Pay rate:

Hourly Rate: £12.50

Overtime is available.
