Quality Engineer, Poole, £50,000pa
Purpose
As a Quality Engineer, you will support the Engineering & Quality function, taking on responsibility for the management and control of the internal audit programs, calibration, customer quality interface and other related tasks, to assist the business the business manage quality control techniques, customer quality approvals, and compliance with HSE requirements.

Responsibilities
As a Quality Engineer, you will:
- Assist and support the implementing continuous improvement techniques and processes within the quality and inspection functions
- Manage the internal audit program / schedule, supported by write ups and actions
- Manage and control the calibration process, ensuring all items remain within calibration or quarantine
- Manage customer and internal NCRs
- Develop and support quality improvement plans and forums implementing PFMEA process and a ‘zero defect’ culture and approach
- Update and control documentation, policies and procedures relating to engineering and quality functions
- Lead and facilitate the monthly HSE reviews ensuring robust corrective actions are implemented to improve future position
- Monitor and audit the initial risk assessment process and ensure all areas maintain up to date risk assessments at all times
Background
The successful Quality Engineer will have:
- Previous experience within a Quality capacity
- Experience maintaining QMS and associated documentation
- Knowledge of ISO9001 & AS9100
- Previous experience overseeing audits.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Excellent organisation skills
- Effective time management
- Confident decision-making ability
