Solar PV Installation Manager – Overview
We are working with an established and successful Renewable Energy company based in Merseyside who are involved of the full 360 project lifecycle of Solar PV Installations for both domestic & commercial Installations upto 1MW. They are seeking an experienced Solar PV Installation manager to lead their current Installations teams on large scale commercial projects and also some smaller domestic installations in the Northwest area, with some work being nationwide.
As a company they work mainly on large commercial sites such as schools, colleges, industrial sites, catterys and kennels installing Solar PV and battery storage on such systems as Huawei, Sigen, Growatt & Fox. You will be responsible for managing the field engineer staff only which would consist of a minimum of 3 to 10 engineers depending on the size of the project. The roofers will usually work along the electricians on the roof on the larger commercial projects wiring up and commissioning the systems, whilst in the smaller domestic properties, the electrician will normally work within the property only.
Your time in the office / onsite can be varied depending on the size of the project. For the larger projects you could be out of the office all week until completion, and if there is any work further away, all accommodation, travel & food will be paid for. From time to time you will be required to help the solar design team and also get hands on with all installations if required.
You will need a strong fully qualified electrical & technical background and have experience in planning all projects right up to commissioning stage and also be experienced in fault finding, troubleshooting and identifying any technical issues.
The company are also looking to offer further progression for this role with a view to move into a more of a senior / director role that will allow you to have profit shares in the business.
