(Customs Supervisor) – Position Overview My client is a UK shipping agent and logistics partner, providing shipping agent services, and supplying marine fuels for the UK and Ireland. They are now looking for a Customs Supersivor to help ensure the smooth and effecient running of the customs team and develop commercial business to ensure the growth of the company. Key Responsibilities: Deliver efficient logistics and customs solutions across customer supply chains. Act as key customer contact in manager\’s absence; maintain strong relationships and address competitor activity. Oversee account management, workload distribution, and team support. Drive business development by identifying and securing new opportunities and cross-selling services. Manage operations across the Port of Liverpool, Widnes, and other UK sites, liaising with logistics partners. Handle pricing, margin optimisation, and financial queries with the accounts team. Monitor and control inventory, ensuring continuous service improvement and excellent customer experience. Supervise daily team activities; ensure quality, safety, environmental, and financial standards are met. Use internal systems for planning, tracking and reporting work. Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and provide general support to management. (Customs Supervisor) – Position Requirements Proven experience managing key customer relationships (essential). Background in supply chain, steel, or bulk logistics (desirable). Relevant industry experience required; sector qualification preferred. Full, valid UK driving licence (essential). Key Skills & Competencies: Strong organisational and time-management skills.
