Quality Engineer – Marine & Outdoor Living Technology

Based at modern headquarters just outside Topsham, facilities include test workshops, design studios and collaborative spaces, set in a location 20 minutes from the coast and 20 minutes from Dartmoor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal audits and drive continuous improvement across the business.
  • Work with design, production and supply chain teams to ensure products meet rigorous quality standards.
  • Oversee product compliance for global regulations, staying ahead of industry changes.
  • Manage customer returns and supplier non-conformance investigations.
  • Take ownership of testing facilities, schedules and standards, ensuring a culture of excellence.
  • Play a hands-on role in testing, risk assessments (FMEA), and product verification.

Qualifications

  • ISO9001 Quality Management Systems experience.
  • HNC (Level 4) or above in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
  • Strong problem-solving, auditing and project management skills.
  • 5+ years\’ industry experience, ideally with exposure to 5S/6S, RCCA, and PPAP.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with global compliance (CE, UKCA, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65) is a strong advantage.
