Quality Engineer – Marine & Outdoor Living Technology

Based at modern headquarters just outside Topsham, facilities include test workshops, design studios and collaborative spaces, set in a location 20 minutes from the coast and 20 minutes from Dartmoor.
Responsibilities
- Lead internal audits and drive continuous improvement across the business.
- Work with design, production and supply chain teams to ensure products meet rigorous quality standards.
- Oversee product compliance for global regulations, staying ahead of industry changes.
- Manage customer returns and supplier non-conformance investigations.
- Take ownership of testing facilities, schedules and standards, ensuring a culture of excellence.
- Play a hands-on role in testing, risk assessments (FMEA), and product verification.
Qualifications
- ISO9001 Quality Management Systems experience.
- HNC (Level 4) or above in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
- Strong problem-solving, auditing and project management skills.
- 5+ years\’ industry experience, ideally with exposure to 5S/6S, RCCA, and PPAP.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with global compliance (CE, UKCA, RoHS, REACH, Prop 65) is a strong advantage.
