Mortgage Underwriter – Specialist Lending
London/Hybrid (2-3 days office based)
Salary: to £50K per annum
Our client, a specialist mortgage lender is seeking an experienced underwriter. Their ultimate goals being, to become the main household name for lifetime and equity release lending and offering a first-class customer experience. This permanent role is ideal for a manual, mandated underwriter and with a new product on the horizon, it’s an exciting time to join the business.
Duties of the Underwriter include:
- Reviewing Mortgage applications against the Lending Policy to ensure robust underwriting decisions are made.
- Managing a portfolio of cases to completion.
- Working closely with Case Managers to gather all information from third parties.
- Speaking extensively to Brokers to allow cases to progress efficiently.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrable experience in underwriting through to completion of Equity Release, RIO or later life mortgage products.
- A manual, mandated underwriter with a background in specialist lending.
You will work in a supportive and collaborative environment with a Wellbeing Calendar focused on supporting mental, physical and financial wellbeing.
