Job Description

Macildowie are working with a client based in Leicester to recruit a Group Finance Manager for a fast-paced organisation in the Retail sector. This is a permanent, office-based position offering a competitive salary (dependent on experience).

Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this role plays a critical part in financial reporting, cashflow forecasting, KPI development, and ensuring strong financial governance. You will also play a key role in improving reporting standards, supporting audit processes, and providing commercial insights to support strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing timely monthly management accounts and 13-week cashflow forecasting
  • Supporting treasury management and bank covenant testing
  • Reviewing stock, accruals, and provisions
  • Delivering insightful financial analysis to support profitability reviews
  • Leading improvements in board reporting and financial modelling
  • Ensuring accuracy of VAT returns and payroll submissions
  • Assisting with year-end accounts and audit readiness

The ideal candidate:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified accountant, with a background in practice (essential)
  • Strong technical finance experience, preferably within manufacturing, FMCG or retail
  • Resilient and tenacious with high attention to detail
  • Comfortable working hands-on and managing competing deadlines
  • Ideally experienced with Dynamics 365 and advanced Excel
