Job Title: Warehouse Operator

We are seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, verifying materials, and stocking items appropriately within the warehouse. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Loading, unloading, and staging orders based on customer or production needs.
  2. Operating forklifts and other machinery to transport, move, and store materials and products.
  3. Completing paperwork and entering data related to inventory and shipments to ensure accuracy.
  4. Operating various machinery such as labelers, packers, palletizers, and fillers, and performing preventative maintenance as needed.
  5. Assisting with inventory management, including cycle counts and data entry.
  6. Handling customer returns, restocking, and system transactions.
  7. Communicating effectively with other departments to maintain safety and quality standards.
  8. Cross-training and deputising for other operators during absences or as required.
  9. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory forklift truck license.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Ability to follow directions with limited supervision.
  • Basic understanding of warehousing principles and practices.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Basic PC skills.
  • Effective communication skills with co-workers.
