What will you be doing?
As Legal and Procurement lead, your key responsibilities will include:
·Contract Management: Preparing and managing appointments, contracts, and legal agreements.
·Insurance and Risk: Handling insurance renewals, claims, and risk management.
·Compliance: Stay ahead of legislative changes (e.g. Building Safety Act) and integrate them into company policies
·Intellectual Property: Oversee trademarks, copyright licenses, and external license arrangements.
·Projects & Disputes: Provide legal advice on project delivery, resolve disputes, and manage debt recovery
·Projects & Fees: Provide legal and commercial advice on project delivery, attend board meetings to provide strategic legal input.
·Facilities: Handle property leases and service contracts for office operations.
Skills and Requirements:
·Qualified Solicitor or equivalent legal professional
·5+ years of experience in legal roles, preferably within the architectural or construction industry.
·Strong experience in construction law, JCT and RIBA appointments
·Excellent communication skills, with confidence in advising stakeholders at all levels
·Attention to detail and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
·A collaborative, hands-on approach and the ability to work Independently.
