The Role
The Early Careers Recruitment Advisor supports the end-to-end attraction and selection of graduate and school leaver talent across our region. The role delivers day-to-day recruitment and marketing activity, ensures a high-quality candidate experience, and supports continuous improvement of our processes, systems and ways of working. The Advisor works closely with the Senior Early Careers Advisor, HR Services Centre and the wider HR team. Early Careers is central to Dentonsβ talent strategy, helping to build the next generation of lawyers. The UKIME Early Careers team supports the London, Milton Keynes, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dublin and Middle East offices.
Responsibilities
Marketing
- Work closely with the Senior Advisor on delivery of annual marketing campaign.
- Partner with Marketing and the Early Careers team to create and deliver engaging and on brand media content.
- Deliver and attend virtual and in person events, including promotion, logistics, candidate engagement and selecting/briefing firm representatives.
- Contribute to the delivery and development of Dentons Next Talent.
Recruitment
- Manage the day-to-day delivery and coordination of the Early Careers recruitment lifecycle (applications, tests, interviews and assessments), ensuring timelines, communications and logistics run smoothly in line with the agreed process.
- Participate in candidate screening, interviewing and support selection decisions.
- Manage the operational delivery of assessment centres.
- Coordinate candidate outcomes and communications. Deliver verbal offers to successful candidates and provide candidate feedback to non-successful applicants.
- Coordinate the candidate offer and onboarding process.
Vacation Schemes
- Support the design of and delivery of vacation schemes.
- Build and coordinate the scheme experience: induction, workshops, socials, networking and supervision.
- Manage the scheme participant experience.
- Support assessment and feedback processes to convert vacation schemes to training contract offers.
Relationship Management
- Provide high quality candidate care throughout processes.
- Deliver a high quality service to internal stakeholders (HR Service Centre, supervisors, assessors, Early Careers partners, senior leadership).
- Support the Senior Advisor in managing external stakeholders (system providers, academic contacts, media partners).
- Collaborate with the Responsible Business team and inclusion networks to support inclusion objectives.
Other
- Produce regular operational management information (applications, progression, diversity monitoring, conversion rates) and maintain data accuracy.
- Identify operational improvements and propose practical changes to the Senior Advisor/Manager; implement agreed changes.
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in the market, attend workshops and networking and share relevant insights with the wider team.
Required Experience, Skills, and Attributes
- Ability to travel throughout the UK and Ireland to support Early Careers in each region.
- Experience in Early Careers, Graduate Recruitment or Resourcing.
- Demonstrable ability to manage delivery of events/assessment centres.
- Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and senior audiences.
- Experience working with high volumes of candidates/data and producing accurate trackers/reports.
- Proficient organisation skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
