Role responsibilities
This role sits within the surveying function within Transport for Wales (TfW) Commercial Property team which is primarily focused on provision of surveying input and advice on project work to include advising on property matters and delivering land assembly.
- Provide strategic property advice to project senior team through drafting and presenting of papers to make recommendations which will ensure that property decisions are actioned to avoid delayed scheme delivery or additional project costs.
- Negotiation and recommendation of terms for property transactions by providing advice to TfW’s Investment Committee where required to obtain authorisation.
- Provide property input as required in support of TfW’s development of a network of bus depots by the acquisition of land and property interests and to advise on appropriate leasing and management arrangements.
- Negotiate heads of terms for land acquisitions, land disposals, easements, or acquisitions of other permanent rights by collaborating with project leads to facilitate the delivery of projects. and schemes in line with strict project deadlines.
Who we’re looking for
- Qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with demonstrable post qualification experience.
- Experience in dealing with land acquisitions and other forms of property transaction or commercial agreements.
- Experience of effective client relationship management and track record of implementation, adherence, and compliance of reporting structures.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
