About the role
Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.
The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke.

What you'll be doing
Reporting to the ENW & EW Logistics manager, the ENW logistics engineer will be directly involved in the
logistic requirements and process for construction works of the Enabling Works Portion, part of Sizewell C
project.
Enabling Works portion is composed of several construction assets of high complexity and technique to be
built at Sizewell C, plus all the off-site facilities to be implemented across the UK. That multiple location will
lead to a thorough planning of the logistics process between sites, including:
• Material Bulk Import Facility (MBIF)
• Beach Landing Facility jetty (BLF)
• Temporary/Permanent Sea Defence
• Cut-Off Wall
• Enabling works needed for future Main Civil Works: access road, crossing, drain diversion
Who we're looking for
Able to clearly communicate the requirements, objectives and procedures, so that a safe system of
work is implemented and to ensure that these are followed accurately
• Ability to work with multiple interest groups to develop solutions to complex operational and technical
requirement for the construction works.
• Desirable understanding of general logistics processes, particularly in large-scale construction
projects.
• Desirable previous construction experience within tunnel segmental or precast elements projects in
UK
• Preferably experience in rail and/or port logistics as well as management of haulier and multiple
suppliers, from plant equipment to freight.
• Proactive attitude towards project management, financial management, change management and
facilitation.
• Control of costs; risk; schedule and changes.
• Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain
effective networks.
