The Project Manager (PM) will be part of a team responsible for installing Security Systems at various customer premises. This role involves project management and coordination of installation orders received by the company. It requires initiative, autonomy, and flexibility to adapt to company changes and workload fluctuations.

The PM will supervise Installation Engineers and contractors, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental policies, and client requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • The Operations Director (OD) assigns projects to the PM, who then plans, schedules, installs, and hands over the project.
  • Review new project files with the OD to understand contract conditions, verify equipment suitability in liaison with sales and customers, and resolve queries.
  • Implement and communicate the project schedule and delivery plans, updating the customer and sales team of any changes.
  • Monitor project profitability and report concerns to the OD.
  • Track project progress and advise the OD on any deviations through regular reviews.
  • Keep customers and stakeholders informed about project status.
  • Notify the OD immediately if there are difficulties meeting project deadlines or incurring liquidated damages.
  • Arrange customer training, and ensure commissioning and completion certificates are signed and delivered.
  • Provide all necessary documentation at project handover.
  • Inform the OD of upcoming project completions for handover planning.
  • Optimize invoicing schedules based on project updates.
  • Ensure compliance with BS EN ISO9001, Health and Safety, NACOSS, GDPR, and ISO27001 standards.
  • Perform any other reasonable management requests.

Skills / Experience Required:

  • At least 2 years of project management experience with diverse projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Electronic Security Systems installation.
  • Training or awareness of standard contracts like NEC3/4, JCT.
  • Ability to create and interpret work programs using Microsoft Project or similar tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite, Visio, and Job Costing packages.
