Who You Are

As a Social Worker/AMHP in Educational Health & Care Services, you will be committed to assessing, formulating, and implementing care plans for individuals with mental health challenges and their carers. You will bring your expertise in mental health, knowledge of relevant legislation, and a commitment to equality and diversity to the role. You are expected to work within a multidisciplinary team, manage complex caseloads, and provide advice to less experienced staff. Experience in mental health and/or older adults is essential, along with a dedication to continuous professional development.

What the Job Involves

As a Social Worker/AMHP, you will assess the needs of individuals with mental health challenges, formulate and implement care plans alongside service users and carers, and evaluate service effectiveness. If an AMHP, you will perform assessments under the Mental Health Act and potentially involve in borough-wide AMHP rota participation. Your responsibilities include working collaboratively with internal and external partners, providing professional guidance, managing resources efficiently, and ensuring safeguarding policies are adhered to. You will work in a fully integrated multidisciplinary team in one of Bromley’s diverse and resourceful boroughs, and contribute to civil emergency plans when necessary.
