Living Well Centre

Would you like to volunteer and be part of a team? Can you spare a couple of hours per week?

We currently have exciting opportunities for Hospice Companions to join our dedicated team of volunteers based at the Rowans Living Well Centre.

A volunteer companion provides support and befriends local people and families affected by a life-limiting illness. Tasks may include practical support such as dog walking, shopping, light housework, or simply being a listening ear and sharing common interests at people’s homes.

Ideally, you would be a buddy from diagnosis, through to death and into bereavement.

Training and support will be provided, enhancing your skills and life experience.

Getting involved and making a real difference in your community can be a highly rewarding experience.
