A well-regarded law firm in Sussex is seeking a Senior Residential Property Solicitor to join its established and busy conveyancing team. This is a key role, ideal for a solicitor with solid experience in residential property who enjoys working closely with clients and mentoring junior colleagues.
The Role
You\’ll take ownership of a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters, managing transactions from instruction through to post-completion. This includes:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- New build transactions
- Help to Buy, shared ownership and right to buy
- Transfers of equity and remortgages
- Lease extensions and title rectifications
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors
- Ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements are met throughout the process
You\’ll also play an active role in supervising and supporting junior team members, contributing to the department\’s continued growth and maintaining the firm\’s reputation for excellent client service.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- At least 6 years\’ PQE in residential property law
- Proven ability to manage a varied and often high-volume caseload
- Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and client care skills
- A practical, solution-focused approach and the ability to manage deadlines effectively
- Interest in mentoring and supporting the development of junior colleagues
