Role: Project Worker

The role of Project Worker includes:

  1. Providing support to encourage our customers with mental health needs to maximise their own potential and independence.
  2. Supporting progress towards independence in managing positive mental health.
  3. Offering one-to-one support as required.
  4. Promoting safety by undertaking risk assessments and reviewing customers’ needs.
  5. Regularly assessing the needs of customers, writing, and updating support plans.
  6. Developing professional relationships with customers, using appropriate and clear communication to ensure their personal choice, privacy, and dignity are maintained.
  7. Delivery of small group activities to promote recovery and well-being.

Skills and Experiences:

  1. Previous experience of working with adults with mental health needs.
  2. The ability to relate and empathise with people with mental health issues.
  3. Living experience of using mental health services is advantageous, providing insight to support people in crisis.
  4. Ability to work effectively in highly pressured situations.
  5. Experience with developing and maintaining accurate records and support plans.
  6. Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages and internet communications.
  7. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it is desirable.
