Key Duties
Working Tuesday to Saturday (Saturdays only until 2pm) – 4 day week considered. Advise patients on suitable frames and lenses based on prescription, lifestyle, and personal styleInterpret optical prescriptions accuratelyTake precise facial and eye measurements for lens fittingFit, adjust, and repair eyewear for comfort and effectivenessRecommend appropriate lens types, coatings, and materialsManage and verify orders with suppliers, ensuring quality controlProvide aftercare advice and support to patientsMaintain accurate patient and sales records in line with data protection regulationsEnsure compliance with health, safety, and optical industry standardsAssist with stock management and visual merchandisingDeliver excellent customer service and support retail salesSupervise and support optical assistants or junior staff, where required
