MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting again for our successful Life Science client based in Larne. As part of ongoing growth, I am looking for a Process Engineering Manager (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)
About the Role
This pivotal role is responsible for the development, support, and validation of equipment and manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will play a key part in both sustaining existing manufacturing capabilities and introducing new technologies, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of new technologies , control systems, and processes from concept through to production.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to support and optimise manufacturing operations.
- Provide input into the design of equipment and the layout of manufacturing processes .
- Interface with equipment vendors to ensure timely and successful delivery, installation, and commissioning of new machinery.
- Conduct and oversee validation activities for equipment and processes, including protocol preparation, execution, and reporting.
- Analyse process data using statistical process control (SPC) techniques to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive initiatives for product, platform, and cost improvements across the operation.
What I am Looking For:
- A degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a GMP-regulated, manufacturing environment .
- Strong understanding of process validation , statistical analysis, and process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
