We are currently looking for a Security Officer to be part of the Security Department in our Distribution Centre based in Bedford. The ideal candidate will be passionate about security, with a good understanding of the industry. We have a 24-hour position for night shifts. Set Shift Pattern – Saturday & Sunday Nights – 19:00 to 07:00.

Responsibilities of the role:
- Control all access to the site
- Book vehicles in and out of the site
- Write incident reports
- Search vehicles and colleagues
- Respond quickly when security intervention is needed
- Perform internal and external patrols throughout shifts
- Complete daily and weekly audits
- Willingness to engage in physical activity as required
Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:
Experience in a similar role, strong written communication abilities, and knowledge of Microsoft Excel are essential. A good understanding of Data Protection laws and Health & Safety regulations is preferred, along with experience in conflict management and incident reporting. The ideal candidate will have a resilient personality and handle challenging situations professionally. An SIA Licence is desirable but not essential.
