Job Description
P&G is a leading company in the manufacture of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), making some of the world’s best loved brands like Gillette, Fairy and Oral. Here in Manchester, we\’ve been making P&G products at our Trafford Park site for the past 90 years and after some exciting new investment, are looking to recruit motivated technicians to join our Pampers manufacturing team.
We’re seeking a day-based technician to join our site facilities team, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday to help with the smooth running of our on-site operation.
Key responsibilities of the role include:

Building and Services Maintenance Repairs: You’ll work to respond to defects reported on the site request system including supporting with repairs on building infrastructure, basic plumbing, carpentry and drainage.

Managing Contractors: You’ll work on behalf of P&G through the permit to work system ensuring strict compliance with safety, quality and service agreement (working at height, hot work and confined space included).

Execute Site Facility Planned Maintenance: you’ll work as part of the facility compliance programme, including supporting annual shut down activities.

Working with Onsite Partners: including the Operations, Safety and Quality teams to ensure the requirements are compliant with the business needs.

Development and Design Reviews: you’ll participate in reviews for site improvement projects while supporting the overall project team with construction management.

What we Offer You:

Competitive Salary:You will receive an annual salary of £30,290, which is reviewed annually.

Generous Pension:The Company will contribute double the amount you contribute towards your pension savings, up to a maximum company contribution of 14% of your pensionable pay.

Annual Leave:You will start with 25 days annual leave entitlement (plus bank holidays), increasing with length of service up to 30 days.

1-4-1 Shares:For every share that you purchase, the Company will purchase a share on your behalf. You can contribute up to 2.5% of your salary into the 1-4-1 Share Plan, up to a maximum of £150 a month.
