A well-resourced and inclusive school in South East London is seeking a Special Needs Graduate Support Assistant to join their team from September. This is an ideal opportunity for a psychology, education, or health and social care graduate looking to gain hands-on experience working with children and young people with special educational needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:

Support students with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH)

Assist the class teacher in delivering learning and therapy-based activities

Work with pupils 1:1 and in small groups to support their progress

Contribute to a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

Provide emotional and behavioural support as needed
Requirements:
-
A degree (or equivalent) in psychology, education, or a related field

Passion for working with children with additional needs
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Experience working with children or young people (in any capacity) is desirable

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
