Job Description

Male Teaching Assistant | Secondary SEN | East London | Temp – Perm

We are looking for an experienced Male Teaching Assistant who inspires to work with in an SEN environment. As a Male Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting students in a classroom at one of leading Secondary SEN Schools in East London. The nature of this role requires a male as the pupil corresponds better with males. We want you to provide enriching support as a TA, using a safe and effective approach to ensue, this pupil receives the best support.

Role: Male Teaching Assistant

Start: ASAP

Contract: Full time

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

Location: IG11, East London

Rate: £95-110 Per Day

Ideal Candidate:

  • Supervising and supporting pupils
  • Assisting in the development of appropriate resources, schemes of work and teaching strategies
  • Supporting with behaviour management
  • Undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities to ensure achievement of learning goals
  • Assisting with the supervision of children out of lesson times, such as playtime and lunchtime duty
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
  • Some basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Bachelor's degree (Education Studies, Psychology or Sports Degrees are welcome)
