About Jobs and Skills governance

The Mayor has put governance arrangements in place to drive his Skills for Londoners Strategy. These arrangements will help to implement and deliver his skills and employment programmes, including adult education in London.

These include all the decision-making bodies that advise the Mayor on key activities and decisions. These bodies also monitor programme delivery and provide a forum to engage key stakeholders to ensure that strategic priorities are met and Londoners' needs are addressed.

Delegation of specified adult education functions from the Secretary of State to the Mayor of London

Supporting accountability, transparency, and value for money.

The Skills for Londoners (SfL) and ASF governance structures set out the board structure in place to effectively manage our SfL and ASF programmes.

The Mayor of London chairs this key decision-making forum so he can actively consider all decisions related to the ASF.

The Skills for Londoners Board advises on actions to support the Mayor's Skills for Londoners Strategy.

This Partnership is responsible for advising the Mayor on how to improve and better align skills provision in London.
