SMT GB is seeking a responsible and proactive Yard Person to assist in the management and organization of our yard and outdoor storage areas. As a Yard Person, you will be essential to ensuring that our stock is maintained, organized, and accessible, while also supporting the overall operations of the business. Your role will involve managing the physical arrangement of vehicles and equipment, as well as keeping the yard tidy and safe.
What you will be doing:
- Wash and valet machines ready for despatch to a high a standard.
- Book in machines from the dock as & when required, checking for damage and obvious faults and then parking them in the allocated areas.
- Maximise available yard space for machines and implement storage solutions.
- Ensure the yard area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Safely load machinery onto low loaders for despatch, to liaise with MPC admin & Transport Company drivers, to meet the arranged deadlines and delivery schedules.
- Assist, with the booking in and controlling of all couriers in / out of the Immingham depot, keeping accurate records of all movements and any items received or delivered.

- Knowledge of construction equipment or heavy machinery.

- A valid UK driving licence.
- Forklift license or other relevant certification.
