Are you an experienced Crane Operator ready for a new challenge in one of the UK\’s busiest and most dynamic port environments?
Stafforce, a leading recruiter in the ports and shipping industry, is offering fantastic temp-to-perm opportunities for skilled Crane Operatives to join our client\’s expanding team in Liverpool
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a range of cranes including Mobile Harbour Cranes, Ship\’s Gear, and Gantry Cranes
- Safely discharge various cargo types including bulk materials and steel from deep sea vessels
- Use a variety of lifting attachments such as Hook, Grab, and Bromma spreaders
- Perform pre-shift safety checks and report any faults or concerns
- Support additional port duties including traffic management, slinger/banksman tasks, and general cargo handling
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 12+ months of crane operating experience in a port, marine, or heavy industry environment
- Prior experience working with deep sea vessels is highly desirable
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures and safe systems of work
- Flexible and reliable, with the ability to work rotating day and night shifts
- A team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to support wider port operations
