Job Description

Are you a Mandarin/Cantonese speaking Residential Property Paralegal looking for their next opportunity? 

Our client is a full service law firm with international connections and are considered to be a top tier real estate advisory firm and they're looking for a Mandarin or Cantonese speaking Paralegal to join their Residential Property team. 

You will be joining an experienced, fast paced team and given the autonomy to manage your own workload. This role offers hybrid working and is based in the heart of the Westend of London. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct property searches and review results
  • Draft and prepare conveyancing documents as required
  • Obtain official documents from HM Land Registry
  • Liaise with mortgage lenders via LMS and Lender Exchange platforms
  • Manage post-completion tasks, including:
    • Submitting SDLT returns
    • Serving legal notices
    • Filing AP1 applications
    • Responding to requisitions
  • Communicate effectively with clients, estate agents, solicitors, brokers, and lenders via phone and email
  • Prepare and draft completion statements and financial breakdowns
  • Calculate apportionments for service charges, ground rent, and other costs
  • Review mortgage offers and complete mortgage deeds accordingly

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience in residential conveyancing
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy caseload independently
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confident communicator with both clients and colleagues
  • Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is essential
