Purpose of Role

Are you a seasoned engineering professional with a strong background in critical building services and healthcare compliance? VINCI Facilities is looking for an experienced Technical Engineering Manager to join our team at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH).

Job Description

In this vital role, you will take ownership of engineering performance across a multi-disciplinary hospital facilities management contract. This is your opportunity to lead with technical authority, ensuring life-critical systems are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standard in a demanding clinical environment.

Responsibilities

•Lead the hospital’s engineering strategy, ensuring HTM compliance and technical best practices are followed.
• Provide technical oversight and mentoring to the M&E team to ensure high standards and development.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and facilities managers to ensure M&E systems meet operational needs.
• Support lifecycle planning and the delivery of maintenance and capital works.
• Maintain safe, compliant engineering procedures and act as the technical point of escalation.
• Contribute to cost planning, inspections, technical reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications/Skills

• Technical building services expertise with strong exposure to the built environment and healthcare sector.
• In-depth knowledge of HTMs, HBNs, statutory compliance, and life safety systems.
• HND/HNC in Building Services Engineering or similar (Degree desirable).
• Chartered or working toward Chartership with a professional body such as CIBSE, IET, IHEEM, or IWFM.
• Proven experience in project management, technical reporting, and supporting asset lifecycle planning.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Health & Safety awareness with a proactive, collaborative mindset.
