Description
We are looking for a part-time knowledge development lawyer to join Lexology PRO, a legal research platform offering a range of practical resources designed to support in-house counsel and private practice lawyers globally in their legal research and daily practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to the production of our expanding practical resources – a range of how-to guides, checklists and summaries that provide practical support for carrying out core legal tasks.

Reporting to the lead knowledge development lawyer, you will support the delivery and ongoing development of the practical resources offering by researching, producing and maintaining high-quality, technical content and supporting external suppliers in the delivery of materials.
The successful candidate will be an experienced, practicing lawyer with a deep understanding of private practice and/or in-house counsel workflows and a demonstrable awareness of, and interest in, global legal developments, who can produce essential guidance to help lawyers practise more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
• Produce practical resources such as how-to guides, checklists, and other legal content, to a high technical and editorial standard
• Act as contact point for external suppliers of legal content, briefing on content set and guidelines, reviewing and editing content and providing feedback, to ensure materials are delivered to a high standard and to deadline
• Working with the content development team to refine and publish the resources
• Maintain existing practical resources to ensure it is legally up to date and work with external suppliers to ensure resources are up to date
• Research and draw up framework for new content sets
• Monitor relevant legal and/or major market developments in global legal/regulatory areas
• Liaise closely with wider Lexology PRO team and other relevant departments
• Provide additional legal research and support to the wider team as required
• Develop and contribute to ideas for new legal content and tools aimed at creating efficiencies in practitioners’ workflows, in alignment with our clients’ needs
• Liaise regularly with sales and marketing team to showcase new content offerings and receive feedback on customer experience and requirements
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
• UK qualified lawyer (dual US qualified a bonus) with 3-5 years of legal industry experience – in private practice and/or in-house
• Up-to-date knowledge of the law and market practice preferrable in the areas of compliance, corporate, commercial, ESG and/or employment areas
• Deep understanding of legal workflows and the practical needs of (in particular) in-house lawyers, as well as private practice and the legal market generally
• PSL Experience is desirable (not essential)
• Clear succinct writing style Excellent written English
• Demonstrable analytical and research skills, and ability to identify key relevant information from sources
• Familiarity with online legal research tools preferred
• Confident presentation and communication skills
• Self-motivated and driven
• Ability to effectively manage own time to ensure work completed efficiently
• A team player who actively participates in the success of the team and willing to place higher priority on team/organisational goals rather than own goals at times
• Responsibility for continually developing own areas of expertise and skills
• Keen eye for detail and concern for high standards
