HSE Advisor
Primary Location: GB – Edinburgh
Contract Type: Permanent

Responsibilities
- Support and guide on various HSE matters.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across sites to promote a positive culture and best practice.
- Deliver continuous improvement in Health, Safety and Environmental standards and practices.
- Provide support to the HSE Manager.
- Run and manage the Risk & COSHH assessment databases.
- Review the incident management system and conduct incident investigations.
- Conduct Contractor and Visitor Inductions.
- Perform internal HSE audits on ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards.
- Provide Balanced Scorecard (BSC) reporting.
- Prepare minutes for HSE Representative meetings.
- Update emergency preparedness arrangements and training.
- Review documents and maintain records for energy monitoring and waste monitoring.
- Keep the HSE notice board up to date.
- Lead on HSE projects assigned by the HSE Manager.
- Carry out regular site safety inspections.
- Occasionally participate in LEUK‑wide projects.
The role may involve occasional planned travel to other sites for business, team familiarisation, and development.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of delivering HSE improvements.
- Knowledge of ISO Management Systems: ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001.
- Experience running and auditing HSE management systems.
- Understanding of safety culture development.
- Minimum NEBOSH General qualification, ideally working towards NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6.
- Self‑starter, able to work on own initiative.
- Good at working with people at all levels.
- Computer literate with good understanding of MS Office.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Resilience and ability to work under pressure.
