Ryder Reid Legal is working with a globally recognised law firm to recruit a dynamic and detail-driven Business Development Specialist to join their London office. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative team, working across departments and contributing to initiatives that truly make an impact.

In this high-performing environment, you\’ll partner closely with BD Managers, lawyers and wider business teams to support a range of projects, from client-focused events to strategic pitch delivery and legal directory submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and tailor persuasive pitch documents and RFP responses
  • Maintain accurate records across deal databases and pitch trackers
  • Update and manage marketing assets, CVs and capability statements
  • Assist with client targeting and relationship mapping initiatives
  • Lead on compiling content for major legal directories like Chambers and Legal 500
  • Support planning and execution of client events, including logistics and reporting
  • Collaborate on integrated BD campaigns alongside Communications and Digital teams
  • Contribute to wider firmwide projects and business initiatives
  • Cultivate relationships with stakeholders across international offices

The Ideal Candidate

  • Educated to degree level with 3-4 years\’ BD experience in legal, professional or financial services
  • Confident across Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage varied workloads independently and in teams
  • Strong communicator with sound analytical and research capabilities
  • Skilled in project management and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
  • Personable and professional when working with stakeholders at all levels
  • Calm and adaptable in fast-moving environments
  • Driven, dependable and focused on delivering top-tier work

This is a hybrid role with competitive compensation, offering in-office presence Monday through Thursday and remote working every Friday.
