The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for accelerating the firm’s data and analytics journey. The Firmwide Data Catalog product team manages JPM’s Data Marketplace, inventory of Data Products, Datasets, and Technical Assets. This catalog supports the CDAO\’s objectives to enable Lines of Businesses and Corporate Functions to achieve AI-ready data and manage data risk effectively.
As a Product Manager in the CDAO, you will enhance the design, functionalities, scalability, and user experience of the product. Your role involves onboarding Data Products and Datasets from various business units to create a comprehensive firmwide data inventory. The goal is to facilitate quick Data discovery, understanding, and access with minimal controls. Responsibilities include capturing requirements, managing the roadmap, prioritizing the backlog, and driving delivery to benefit the firm. You will collaborate with Engineering, UX, Architecture, and Information Architecture teams, and work with partner product teams to improve the overall CDAO platform experience. Product success will be measured through metrics, reporting, and communication.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead analysis and establish a backlog of well thought out firmwide product requirements
- Manage the product roadmap and prioritization of deliverables
- Measure and report on product performance and metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Partner with UX and Engineering teams to design and implement features for a first-class product
- Collaborate with the Chief Data Office to implement product capabilities supporting controls, standards, and guidelines
- Lead strategic change initiatives from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met
- Communicate effectively with Lines of Businesses and Corporate Functions to provide status updates and align on deliverables
- Develop relationships with stakeholders, gather requirements, and incorporate user feedback
- Mentor team members and contribute to broader team objectives
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Extensive experience in Product Management / Product Ownership
- Strong knowledge of data management, data products, and datasets
- Good design sense with a focus on customer and user experience
- Understanding of business use and operating models supporting the catalog
- Excellent organizational and project management skills under pressure
- Ability to manage tight delivery timelines and execute strategic changes
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to build consensus and work collaboratively across functions
- Influencing skills across various organizational levels
- Leadership skills in managing programs, projects, teams, or employees
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience
