Senior Regulatory Counsel – EMEA | High-Growth Fintech Platform

Location: London

Salary: £120,000 to £140,000

As the company continues to expand across EMEA, the Regulatory team plays a crucial role in enabling commercial ambitions while maintaining compliance in a highly dynamic, regulated environment. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing, diverse legal function that works closely with regulators, executives, and cross-functional teams on a broad range of regulatory and licensing matters.

The Opportunity:

This is a senior-level position within the EMEA Regulatory function, suited to a seasoned regulatory lawyer or compliance professional with deep experience in payments, financial services, or fintech. The role will see you at the heart of strategic decision-making, supporting expansion initiatives and helping shape how the company navigates regulatory change across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising internal and external stakeholders on regulatory requirements and strategy in line with commercial priorities
  • Leading regulatory engagements, including managing relationships with key regulators and external auditors
  • Identifying and mitigating regulatory and integrity risks across the business
  • Translating regulatory obligations into operational policies and procedures
  • Advising on new product and market initiatives to ensure scalable, compliant growth

About You:

  • 5+ years’ experience in regulatory or legal roles within payments, fintech or broader financial services
  • In-depth understanding of European regulatory frameworks in financial services
  • A strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and experience managing regulatory stakeholder relationships
  • Able to think commercially while offering pragmatic regulatory advice
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French or German would be an advantage
