Description
We are seeking a dynamic Process/Mechanical Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Eltham! This role involves managing process and mechanical engineering projects that enhance sustainability, safety, quality, and asset reliability within our operations. You will oversee projects from conception to handover, working closely with senior management and a team of engineering professionals.
You will be responsible for a portfolio of projects ranging from $100k to $15M, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals. This position reports to the Regional Portfolio Manager and services projects across the Lower North Island, including sites at Whareroa, Collingwood St, Kapuni, Pahiatua, Longburn, and MFU.
About you: You thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment, possess a strong project management background, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. Your knowledge of food or milk processing is advantageous, along with familiarity with project management tools. You demonstrate excellent prioritization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Key Skills & Attributes:
- A degree in Dairy Process, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience managing industrial projects with budgets over $1M.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience leading consultants and contractors through all project phases.
