Senior Lawyer (Adult Legal Team) (REMOTE) needed, £43.12ph PAYE – Reference: 5272485
(a) To oversee and manage a caseload in an area of law allocated.
(b) To respond to requests for advice, representation, etc., from employees.
(c) To manage all aspects of court representation as required.
(d) To advise and/or present to courts, meetings, members at formal appeal hearings, or as required by the County Solicitor.
(e) To assume a lead role in advising clients on specialist aspects of law and practice as required, e.g., Procurement, Employment, Human Rights, Child Care, Adult Social Care, Property, and to organise/participate in training events as appropriate and/or necessary.
(f) To determine appeals under the Internal Dispute Resolution Procedure of the Local Government Pension Scheme and various internal appeal procedures if required.
(g) To take part in the Legal Services’ Out of Hours service to provide assistance to the Emergency Duty Team on matters of Childcare and Adult Social Care.
(h) Any other duties appropriate to the grade as may be assigned by one of the Legal Service managers.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
