The role
To support the design and delivery of creative interpretation for the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) to support engagement with our animals, zoos and messaging to increase nature connectivity across RZSS.
Some Of The Things You’ll Do
- Working across both sites (Edinburgh Zoo and Highland Wildlife Park)
- Deliver and design artwork for illustrative storytelling through strong creative graphic design principles.
- To work within internal working groups to contribute to fabrication and install of graphical and interactive interpretation across both sites.
- Develop interpretation assets for a variety of messages and audiences.
- Assist with coordinating the production (in conjunction with appropriate fabrication manufacturers) and installation of interpretation as well as the appropriate storage of interpretation resources for various large and small-scale project.
- Deliver and design artwork for illustrative storytelling through strong creative graphic design principles.
What We’re Looking For
- HNC level qualification or relevant experience
- Proficient in use of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/In Design or equivalent tools for design from conception to art working for a range of fabrication
- Creative graphic and interpretation design skill
- Creative copywriting and proofreading, with strong attention to detail
- Managing own workload with minimal supervision. Carrying out defined tasks within clearly defined timescales
What You’ll Get In Return
- £12.77 per hour (casual contract, variable hours)
- Mainly remote working – candidate will require their own IT equipment
