Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will actively contribute to overseeing the day-to-day operations of various designated Kitchen Units. Taking a hands-on approach, you will lead a team of seasonal members, ensuring a seamless and efficient workflow. Your responsibilities extend to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in food production areas, as well as overseeing the upkeep of equipment and utensils. A paramount aspect of your role involves ensuring strict adherence to Health and Safety legislation, guiding your immediate team in enforcing policies, procedures, and elevated cleaning standards.

Key duties will include:

  • To support Kitchen Production Supervisors in the delivery of designated Kitchen units
  • Lead the team delivery of food production and health and safety legislation
  • Ensure your units are operated and maintained to department standards
  • Communicate and lead the team to ensure critical information is passed on in a timely matter including regular team briefings
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to the team
  • Ensure daily and weekly procedures, including temperature checks, food labelling/dating and storage are carried out by the team
  • Support team members in delivering their roles effectively

Your contract

This is a Permanent 40 hour contract, with working hours to vary over a 7 day rota basis, including weekends, evening and bank holidays as required.
