Maintenance Supervisor – Key Responsibilities:
- As Maintenance Supervisor, your main duties will include:
- Leading a team of maintenance engineers and technicians
- Planning and overseeing preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Managing and responding to machinery breakdowns promptly
- Issuing permits to work, managing contractors and ensuring site safety compliance
- Supporting apprentices and mentoring junior team members
- Ensuring continuous improvement in plant reliability and efficiency
- This is a hands on role, requiring both leadership and technical ability in a fast paced manufacturing or production environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience in reactive and planned maintenance within a manufacturing, production or process plant
- Previous supervisory or management experience in maintenance function
- Strong fault finding skills and the ability to work under pressure
- Familiarity with issuing permits to work and managing external contractors
- An apprenticeship background and relevant engineering qualification, City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
