Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a Lead Structural Engineer to join a leading infrastructure firm, in a long-term contract position. The successful candidate will work in a hybrid arrangement, working in office 3 days a week, in Aberdeen.
This is a great opportunity to work on petrochemical projects with a motivated and experienced team.
-Rates from £60-65 an hour (Outside IR35) , depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
-Lead a team of engineers and designers, supporting petrochemical design and construction projects.
-Act as the primary client and senior leadership contact for civil and structural services, managing quality, schedule, and budget.
-Oversee and review technical design work, ensuring compliance and high standards across drawings, calculations, and specifications.
-Deliver value engineering, coordinate effectively with teams, and communicate designs clearly across disciplines.
What we are looking for:
-Minimum BEng Civil or Structural Engineering.
-Must be chartered with ICE or IStructE.
-Considerable experience as a Civil/Structural Engineer in the Petrochemical Sector, and extensive experience managing/leading teams.
-Hold a UK driving license.
-Excellent communication skills and able to work in a team environment.
-Understand temporary works and energy sector standards.
-Skilled in designing foundations, supports, structures, drainage, and using steel and concrete.
-Able to assess and articulate risks, ensuring safety by design.
-Offshore experience beneficial but not essential.
