Admiral is seeking a highly driven and experiencedProgramme / Transformation Managerto lead the delivery of a critical and complex transformation programme focused on revolutionising how Admiral delivers change. This role is pivotal in shaping a more efficient, effective, and scalable change delivery model across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have aproven track record of leading and implementing transformation at the programme level, with the ability to navigate complexity, manage ambiguity, implement change management strategies and achieve lasting outcomes. You will be proactive, solutions-focused, and confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

You’ll be an effective communicator, decisive, and change-focused, capable of orchestrating multiple groups and workstreams to successful outcomes, while producing high-quality artefacts to support strategic decision-making and change execution. Your ability to support and interact with diverse teams and foster collaboration will be key to our overall success.

A proven track record of the above is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate end-to-end delivery of a high-impact transformation programme, ensuring strategic alignment, governance integrity, and measurable outcomes through the Transformation Management Office (TMO).
  • Embed clarity and accountability by ensuring Workstream Owners are equipped with well-defined deliverables and success measures that directly support their strategic outcomes.
  • Partner with Workstream Owners to surface and manage interdependencies and risks, enabling informed prioritisation, sequencing, and delivery tracking across the programme.
  • Contribute to the formulation of plans and strategies for Transformation Management Office key focus areas (communication, metrics and measurement, change and communication, coaching), and support their execution.
  • Lead increment (WAVE) planning to define deliverables, align cross-workstream priorities, and drive collaborative action plans that proactively manage dependencies and accelerate delivery.
  • Foster trusted stakeholder partnerships through transparent, consistent communication that drives alignment, engagement, and shared ownership of outcomes.
  • Develop compelling business cases that articulate the value of change and secure investment in the people, processes, and capabilities needed to deliver it.
  • Enable effective programme governance through insightful, action-oriented reporting that informs decision-making at Steering Committees and Portfolio forums.
  • Actively manage Programme RAID in alignment with PMO standards, driving the identification and mitigation of risks, resolving issues efficiently, and removing delivery blockers to maintain momentum.
  • Accountable for the creation and continuous refinement of a transformation backlog that captures and aligns programme-wide tasks, ensuring visibility, prioritisation and momentum across delivery.
  • Create and maintain a collaborative, high-performance culture in the Transformation programme team.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive experience working as a Programme Manager or Transformation Manager on large scale, business change Programmes.
  • Proven leadership skills to drive change and deliver business outcomes.
  • Excellent Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Managing complex portfolios and programmes end to end.
  • Extensive experience of planning, budgeting, financial management and governance.
  • Business and transformation and change management experience.
  • Experience in/knowledge of both agile and lean methods.
  • Using task and workflow tracking tools.
  • Understanding of Insurance and Financial Services.
  • Knowledge of/qualifications in change management (particularly people change).
  • Knowledge of/experience in iterative/test and learn approaches to change.
  • Knowledge of/experience in organizational design and operating model development.

This role will require office attendance to Cardiff once a month for workshops initially, with potential to be more flexible going forward.
