Overview
Location: Bristol
Salary: £13.29 per hour (includes £40 weekly shift allowance)
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: Rotating every 2 weeks
- Shift 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Shift 2: Monday to Thursday, 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM & Friday, 12:30 PM – 6:30 PM
About the Role
MDE Consultants are recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and manufacturing company based in Bristol. We are looking for Warehouse Operatives to join their Dispatch and Inbound teams.
These are full-time, hands-on roles in a busy warehouse environment, perfect for reliable and motivated individuals who are confident working both independently and as part of a team.
Counterbalance forklift experience is essential you do not need a formal licence, but you must have recent, hands-on experience operating a counterbalance forklift, whether in-house trained or from previous roles.
Responsibilities
Inbound Role:
- Unloading deliveries and booking goods into the system
- Moving stock into storage using a counterbalance forklift
- Checking quantities and quality of incoming stock
- Maintaining accurate inventory records
Dispatch Role:
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Preparing items for dispatch, including labelling and wrapping
- Loading finished goods onto delivery vehicles
- Assisting with light assembly tasks if required
Both roles include general housekeeping duties and supporting smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Experience using a counterbalance forklift essential (licence not required)
- Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, or goods-in environment
- Strong attention to detail and good timekeeping
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Comfortable with manual handling and physical work
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
