The role

As the Housing Support Worker, you will provide support to service users at our projects. You will need to be able to work sympathetically with service users who have been homeless and have complex needs.

You will work to empower service users, actively engaging them with the community and helping them to support each other, to develop resilience, to live independently and to be an asset to the community. You will be required to work on a rota basis.

  • We’re looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years experience working with individuals with multiple and complex needs.
  • You’ll have an understanding of the barriers faced by those affected by homelessness.
  • Experience of delivering support that empowers change.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • You have the ability to consult, identify and facilitate key activities to promote wellbeing.
  • You must be able to build and maintain partner relationships with external agencies.
  • You can deliver effective support based on each individuals needs.
  • You must have a positive ‘can do’ attitude as part of a team.
