Global Mobility Expatriate Tax Associate – Houston, TX

Join a leading Global Mobility Tax Practice in Houston and build a strong foundation in expatriate tax services while contributing to client success. This role provides valuable experience and significant growth potential within the team.

As a Global Mobility Expatriate Tax Associate, you will assist in preparing individual tax returns, equalization calculations, and various tax forms for inbound expatriates and foreign investors, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations. You will also support U.S. payroll reporting and withholding for expatriate employees, including annual compensation statements. Additionally, you will work on individual income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals with offshore investments and holdings.

In this role, you will collaborate with senior team members as they advise clients across industries on both domestic and international tax matters. You will also have the opportunity to participate in training programs designed to further develop your expertise in expatriate tax services.

The ideal candidate will have 0-2 years of experience in Global Mobility Expatriate Tax, ideally with a national or regional accounting firm or a boutique firm specializing in expatriate tax matters. A Bachelor\’s degree in Accounting is typically required, while a J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, or a Master\’s in Taxation (MST) is preferred. Strong planning, research, writing, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
